Princess Party

Today was a very special Princess Party to help celebrate summer.  Brynnlee invited her friend Ellie over for the event.  These lovely princesses know how to have fun.

Princess Books

Today we had fun with writing our own stories and making books.  Here is Brynnlee's book about a princess who falls in love.  She did all of the pictures. Only 14 week days left until Kindergarten starts!

Summer Days

Summer is ending.  School will be starting soon.  I haven't cared about this for four years since I stopped teaching.  But this year, the ending of summer is bringing mixed emotions.  Why? Brynnlee starts kindergarten this August.  In fact there are only 15 weekdays that we have left together, and I hate it. I made the mistake of telling her last week that I don't want her to go to kindergarten.  She was so sad.  In fact, she had a talk with Kevin about it.  B: "Why doesn't Mommy want me to go to school?" K: "She will just miss you while you're gone." B: "Doesn't she know that I'll come back home?"  Well, because of this I am trying to make each day a little more fun-filled. Two days down, 15 more to go.

*We played with Play-Doh.

Here is Pressley's pancake.

Brynnlee made a birthday cake.

*Then Brynnlee and Pressley wrote a letter to their favorite Disney princess.  Brynnlee wrote to Aurora, and Pressley wrote to Ariel.

Today we goofed around outside.  The girls rode on their bikes and waited for the mail lady to come by and pick up their letters.

Dance Recital

Brynnlee started dance class last summer.  She has had her ups and downs with wanting to go.  But she attended every dance class and worked hard to be ready for the recital.  When she realized she was going to wear a pretty costume and make-up, it wasn't hard to convince her to go to class anymore.  She looked beautiful for the recital.  Kevin and I are so proud of her for doing such a great job.

Columbus Zoo

While Grandma and Grandpa Ball were in town, we went to the Columbus Zoo.  It is a beautiful zoo with so many fun things to do.
