Pressley Turns Two

On Pressley's first birthday, we had a fun party with polka dots, family, and loads of fun, but there was no daddy there.  Kevin was still in Japan when Pressley turned one, so we wanted to have an extra special family birthday party for Pressley to make up for it.  Pressley's rainbow birthday party was perfect!  I just can't decide which pictures I like the best....so I think I will put all of them on here!

Pressley's First Haircut

The worst thing about moving is finding a new hair stylist to cut your hair.  It's especially true when your baby needs her first haircut and you trust no one around your town to do it.  I kept putting Pressley's first haircut off in hopes that I would be able to find my way to Utah and have my favorite hair stylist do it.  No such luck.  We were lucky enough to find someone really great to do it here in Fairborn.

Miss Brynnlee Goes to Preschool

After a preschool evaluation where I learned that Brynnlee was really smart but needed more social experiences, I realized that she needed to go to preschool.  We enrolled with a teacher who is in our ward.  I  did this because I wanted Brynnlee to be comfortable and be able to adjust easily.  I realize now that I did this so I would be comfortable and be able to adjust easily.  It was a great move though because Brynnlee loves Mrs. Gullion and is lucky enough to see her on Sundays too.  Miss Brynnlee is thriving in preschool and learning so much.  She will be ready for kindergarten in no time!

New Year

We hope you had a Happy New Year.  Here's to a wonderful 2013!

Christmas 2012

Christmas time is always a beautiful time of the year.  When it comes around, I always want to focus on Christ, and I want my girls to remember what Christmas is really about.  I try to remind Brynnlee throughout the Christmas season that we need to remember Jesus.  She is so sweet to tell me that we celebrate Jesus' birthday during Christmas.

We had a lovely day, and the girls we so excited about their presents.  The only thing that could have made it better is being with our family.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always so fun to me.  It's a day filled with so much anticipation and joy.  When I was going up, my mom and dad always tried to help the day go by faster by distracting us with fun activities.  I have always loved Christmas Eve....almost more than Christmas day.  This year we watched Christmas movies, opened pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa Eames, and made cookies for Santa.

Christmas Dresses

This year the girls dresses were extra cute.  Even Brynnlee and Pressley thought so.  Brynnlee thought she could convince me to let her wear her dress every day.  I think they look beautiful.

First Snow

The girls were lucky that Daddy was home to play on the cold, snowy day.  This was Pressley's first time playing in the snow.  Aren't my snow girls so cute?

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Our plan this year was to have a magical family experience picking out a Christmas tree.  We were going to go to a local Christmas tree farm, choose the perfect tree, and Kevin was going to chop it down for us.  Yeah right, like that happened.  Instead, because of poor communication, we threw our girls in the car at the last minute, drove to the Christmas tree farm when it was almost dark, and picked out a Christmas tree that I didn't even like.  Fortunately, the girls loved it all because running around outside, drinking hot chocolate, and having someone tie a tree to your car was a new experience for them.  And of course, decorating a Christmas tree is always delightful.
