Typhoon Muifa

Typhoon Muifa came through Okinawa and stayed for three days. We lost power on Friday morning and then the water went out on Saturday. It was hot and humid and miserable. Finally the weather calmed late Saturday afternoon. I hated it! But I learned that we were much more prepared for such an emergency than I felt.

The ocean was so active. These pictures
don't do it justice.

Water just kept pouring into our home.

The wind was so strong it pushed the rain
through the windows.

What the storm left behind.......

The wind blew the red car into the

maroon one. My neighbors weren't
too happy about it!

During the storm this giant structure

(I don't know what to call it) fell into

the road. They had to put the little
tractor on it to keep it from blowing
away. The green and maroon cars are
ours. I am so glad that it didn't fall on
them!
